My first youtube video
This is my first video I posted in YouTube. I was very excited for recording this video and prayed it to happen. Even though the decision to start my own channel was taken by me 1 year back but I had to drop it. And after 1 long year and the lockdown boredom caused by Covid-19 me and my family members finally decided to start this channel.
It was a spur of the moment decision !!!!!!! I will explain the factors weighed in this decision in my upcoming video of Chicken Curry.
Talking about the recipe of today it is a tasty chicken recipe loved by my daughter. It is chicken fry !!!
The ingredients are :
1) Chicken - 250 gm. (boneless is preferred)
2) Garlic - 1 1/2 nos. the garlic I used is medium sized.
3) Green chilly - 3 to 4 nos.
4) Coriander leaves - to taste
5) Lemon juice - 3/4 of a lemon. squeeze the juice out and you can keep the remaining lemon
after dish preparation.
6) Curd - 2 tablespoon.
7) Ginger - 1 inch long
8) Maida - 2 tablespoon
9) Corn flour - 1 tablespoon
Masalas to be used are :
1) Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
2) Chilly powder - 2 1/2 tablespoon
3) Salt - to taste
Preparation method
First grind Ginger + garlic + coriander leaves + green chilly to paste. You can add little water, if required, and make it into paste form as shown in video. Now add all the ingredients(except corn flour and maida) to chicken in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
You have to ensure that all the pieces of chicken is evenly coated. Keep the chicken aside so that the ingredients are absorbed by chicken. You can either opt for keeping the chicken in fridge for 30 mins or you can keep it outside for 1 hour. This process is called marination and it is an important step to ensure all flavours are equally absorbed.
Then after marination add corn flour + maida and mix the chicken thoroughly. This ingredients give a crusty flavour to chicken.
After chicken preparation is complete now we can fry the chicken. Use a pan and add oil to it. Make sure that the pan contains enough oil to drown the chicken pieces fully or partially. Use oil as you are comfortable. I am using sunflower oil here.
Heat the oil and put chicken pieces. Ensure you are frying in medium flame so as not to over fry the chicken. The perfect fried chicken is with brown texture not too dark or light. You can taste a piece of chicken to see if it is fried or not whilst cooking in low flame. Tissue paper can be used to absorb extra oil oozing out of the fried chicken.
Here after frying chicken I am using the same oil to fry green chilly (this amount was not included in the list above) and some curry leaves. They both go extremely well with fried chicken.
This chicken dish is tasty when eaten with rice or roti and can be made easily by everybody....
Nicely written 👍👍👍
